
Takahide ("Tak") Akiyama
Takahide Akiyama is a long time corporate banker and a senior corporate executive who has held various senior management positions with global financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies.
He was with the Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Financial Group) for over 25 years and worked in London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Tokyo. Among the senior positions he held were Managing Director of Private Equity and Global Project Finance as well as the General Manager of San Francisco Branch. He specialized in corporate finance in such areas as acquisition finance, energy and infrastructure project finance and real estate finance.
Between 2003 and 2007, he was Managing Director and Japan Country Head with the Bank of New York (now The Bank of New York Mellon), first serving as General Manager of its Tokyo Branch and then as President and CEO of the newly established The Bank of New York Securities Company Japan Ltd.
Other senior management positions include Executive Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis based in San Francisco and the President and CEO of its Japanese subsidiary (2007-2010) and Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston (2001-2002).
He is currently Partner and Special Advisor of RedBridge Group, a cross-border investment bank based in San Francisco and also runs his own strategic consulting practice, Kyocei Consulting Partners, helping venture businesses and young companies to grow.
He holds MA and BA degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PP&E) from Oxford University (Keble College), and BA degree in Economics from Keio University in Japan.
He is a board member of Japan Society of Northern California and was former Vice President of Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California, a board member of International House of University of California in Berkley and San Francisco Ballet and Executive Committee member of International Banking Association of Japan.
He enjoys sports (tennis and golf) and translation of good business/leadership books into Japanese (e.g., ‘Loving Monday: Succeeding in Business without Selling Your Soul’ by John Beckett). Married.

2006年バンク・オブ・ニューヨーク証券株式会社代表取締役社長・CEO兼バンクオブニューヨーク
カントリーヘッド。2007年 CB Richard Ellis(世界最大の商業用不動産サービス会社)の日本法人シ
ービー・リチャード・エリス株式会社代表取締役社長・CEO、2009年Executive Managing Director(サ
ンフランシスコ勤務)。
現在、サンフランシスコで、RedBridge Groupパートナー兼スペシャルアドバイザー及びKyocei
Consulting Partners 代表。
